Here’s What’s Working: Micro Influencers

We’ve talked before about the power of influencer marketing (as well as what to be aware of), but there’s another piece to it. You don’t need to hire influencers for tens of thousands of dollars; hiring micro influencers can give you similar results in tight knit niches.

Micro influencers are those with roughly 1,500–5,000 followers. They will charge less than larger accounts, but you will still see results. (If done correctly.)

Benefits of Micro Influencers:

  • Typically these accounts have a more engaged following, because only interested users follow them. (As opposed to a passive following for many celebrities.) Followers take note of product reviews!
  • Some may take product in exchange for a review as part of a collaboration, instead of product and payment.
  • You can reach a wider audience with the same budget, because you can afford more collaborations than you would with larger influencers.
