Grandparent Forgotten on Bench

Having told everyone else to go ahead without him, local grandfather Marty Sullivan has spent the past 7 hours seated on the bench where his family left him, patiently awaiting their return. Too tired to keep pace with the younger members, the 84-year-old reportedly remains uncollected.
“I told them that they should go on ahead without me and I’d be waiting right here on this bench for them,” he said in reference to the people that had completely forgotten about him over 6 hours ago. “They should be back any minute.”
Witnesses say that the elderly man has not moved from bench except to occasionally stand up and do [those stretches only old people do]. Sullivan explained that he did not want to leave the area as his family might return at any moment and he would not want them to worry about where he went.
“I hope they’re okay and nothing bad has happened to them,” Sullivan wondered aloud, unaware that the rest of his family was already back at home, enjoying Family Movie Night and watching Hugo. “Aw dang it, the sprinklers are coming back on.”
“Hello? Anyone?” the Octogenarian added.
At press time, Sullivan missed his third hypertension pill that he needed to take.
