Mr. Abdul Rehman Talat, CEO BlueEast and Reason, is an eloquent speaker and an impressive businessman. In the past year alone, he has single-handedly launched Reason as a direct to consumer (D2C) brand and made IoT a ready concept in Pakistan. He is tireless and geared up for so much more but IoT has always been his passion. He spoke about the impact of IoT on Business and Marketing at the CEO Club Pakistan’s corporate dinner where quite a few other prominent business heads got together to discuss all the trends and the shifts in the business sector.

Mr. Talat talked about how we had time to grow used to personal computing before the internet arrived and shifted everything around all over again. We were internet-savvy a long time before smartphones put the whole of it right in our hands. Now, quite a few new technologies are emerging all at once: 3D printing, 5G wireless, virtual and augmented reality, and others. While each of these are more exciting than their predecessors, Mr. Abdul Rehman considers IoT and Artificial intelligence to be really transformational.

Through BlueEast, Mr. Talat has been playing his part in the digital revolution of business in Pakistan. Talking about it, he mentioned how IoT provides users an opportunity to extract new data and improve existing business processes while also bringing innovative products and services to market at a rapid pace.

He talked about his vision of a smart Pakistan through a bevy of smart household appliances and personal electronic devices that will help transform the consumer goods industry by revolutionizing the user experience. He is all set to make this a reality through Mevris which is a smartly-engineered, human-centric IoT platform that enables centralized control for all connected devices.

When talking about Artificial Intelligence, he alerted the audience about how the goal of artificial intelligence is to make computer programs or computers smart enough to imitate the human mind’s behavior and how this practice will prove to increase the efficiency of business. He remarked upon how we might be afraid of the shifting trends and the superior integration of Artificial Intelligence in business but if the system is properly developed, artificial intelligence can eliminate the smallest of human error and create an almost risk-free environment for the company.

His speech had all of us stop and ponder at the possibilities and the new world IoT and Artificial Intelligence might be able to unlock for us in the future. We will be looking forward to what more Mr. Abdul Rehman will be presenting as the flag bearer of latest innovation.
