A Love Divide:

Behold the heavens weeping
The distant sound of thunder,
And while my demons sleeping,
The heart is torn asunder.

Cherished is the family,
Sacred is the home,
Solace found at the hearth,
Never be alone,

Passion like an inferno,
The roaring violent beast,
Invited to the slaughter,
Delighted by the feast.

Wishing to hold on to both,
Unwilling to let go,
Of the wild and raging heart,
Or the love I know.

Peace in the home,
The tempestuous heart,
Each piece at war with itself,
Slowly tears apart.
