A Moment
Finally, a poem of mine that rhymes
Curtains of lace
Awash my face
Imprinting a delicacy I lack
Its fine features rest
Fashioning a nest
To incubate the beauty
Seeking to combat the dark
Scrubbing the black mark
Denying it a home
Freckles nestle amid the pattern
Ringed by the cloth of Saturn
An unknowable expanse
Sunlight dappling its weathered white
Dancing in the evening light
Bestowing its warm invitation
My face lingers within these drapes
Still awash among its fabric capes
Reveling in fleeting contentment
