A Wind of The East

Things were falling apart,

No one showed any mercy.

In this poverty-stricken world,

life was like an empty jar.

With nothing to fulfill,

“worthless” was the state of our desires.

A ray of hope never shone,

a draught expanded with its bleak tone.

For several years, a shadowed zone settled.

An enemy of fate had us all muzzled.

The cold and life-less day was then broken

by a sheer blow from the unspoken.

Ruffling from the east, came a strong wind.

Soaring through the gloomy skies,

it washed away all the sins.

Short-lived, however, it rebuilt our own kin.
