Promises in the midnight hours turn to smoke and ash,
I wander about our future, when I cant forget the past.

Questions of the broken hearted, unsure where they dwell,
Aloft in personal purgatory, or a lonely hell.

You said you wouldn’t leave me, yet I worry where you are,
Because you stand beside of me, still you seem so very…
