Beware Of The Boomerang
-A poem.
The journey of two kids, naive, pure beings,
Neither privy, with their destiny dealings,
Learned a lesson, about the boomerang playings,
Action and reaction, true to their sayings.
Virtue saw happy faces, giggling and dancing,
Vice saw scowling traces, glares and bellowing.
Two neighbors, near, yet oh so far,
What you see, builds your memoir.
Virtue heard inspiration, words of kindness,
Vice heard loud voices, tears with weakness.
Innocent souls, growing apart, year by year,
Remember, what you hear, molds you to appear.
Virtue talked sweet, strong, inspiring,
Vice smacked jabs, taunts and bullying.
Same road but different paths, joy and juvy,
What you speak, always comes back, truly.
What you see, what you hear,
What you talk, who you’re near,
Always has a hand, large but seems mere,
Beware of the boomerang, careful my dear.
