Bright Light Beam
A sonnet
Water’s gurgling through a long stream
She’s giggling loud like a bright light beam
Head thrown back, a laugh mighty fine
Like mellow casks full of vintage wine
Eyes rippling joy unbounded
With such happiness surrounded
Cycling through country cool
Stealthy dips in neighbor’s pool
Long reads in summer sunshine
Daddies voice rings through fine
She flies fast through her neighborhood
Friend in hand, far atop she stood
Her eyes still carry that bright light beam
Through all these years, preserved supreme.
