Have you ever caught a fleeting minute to comprehend, even sympathize with your eyes?

They’ve seen all kinds of joy and horrors we could only imagine growing up. They’ve impeccably portrayed all the scenic panoramas as cinematographs that would forever be rooted within the back of your head. If that’s not enough, at the exact moment you’re in the scenery your eyes made sure you live through them vividly.

Your eyes spotted the purest souls, and even guide your own to walk around beings with treacherous intentions. Your eyes made sure you won’t miss minute details, even at how imperfect our loved ones are.

Yet with all these wonders — the shallow minded lives on, some despising how at times your eyes would look so cynical. In truth my dear, they’re on their best guard; all alerted in their best defense to make sure you won’t waltz yourself all through the pain again.

So here’s to the best of the most avoided,
The cynical gaze they all hate so much
The gaze that sets unwanted-yet-lasting impressions.
Mine are enough for me.
