Finale, Death Note

a poem

Photo by Attila Lisinszky on Unsplash.

The cries for help,
The screams and pleas,
Hide behind sweet pleasantries,

How are you?
“I’m well, I'm fine,”
When in truth I’ve lost my mind,

How are you doing?
“Oh, I’m okay,”
The mind calls out, I’ve lost my way.
