It Was So Wonderful!

. . . what happened?!

The whole experience was so amazing
… this visit as a guest at the resort!

I don’t know when I’ve been so happy…
so peaceful… and full of contentment.

Creative ambition swept over me —
and an obsessive desire overpowered me

. . . a desire to explore the very depths
of my being . . . and to write.

Several months later I returned to
this wonderful resort in the desert.

I asked for the same room — and
settled in for a repeat performance.

To my dismay nothing was the same
— everything had somehow changed

… the joy… the peace… the inspiration
— they were all totally gone!

What happened? . . . what changed? . . .
The resort seemed to still be the same.

Did the change come from me
. . . not from the resort?

Do not inner changes take place in us
day by day. . . moment by moment?

As the soul experiences daily in
the outer world in manifested form

would it not be natural that change
would take place from the resultant
learning and growth?

It may not be an obvious outer change,
and so we are often unaware of it —

but a very definite change it is . . .
an inner change that controls our lives

. . . a change that determines
how we feel and who we really are!
