let’s run away, you and me
so pack your bags and grab your keys
we’ll tell the others that we’ve travelled the seas
and go as far as the golden glow takes us
we’ll let the stars guide us,
run on open fields and let lush greenery overtake us,
roll around on cornfields and giggle,
plucking flowers out of each other’s hair
live life in slo- mo as everything around us dissipates
we’ll see everything there is to see,
touch every historical monument,
kiss on every spot where the sunlight hits
and darling i promise you,
as long as i’m with you, no one will dare stare,
you’ll hold my hand proudly and paint
my sun kissed lips, we’ll run off into the
moonlight, to a land of acceptance, where
nothing is abnormal and everything is okay.
