Lift off!
When the world tells you can’t

Sometimes I feel stupid
For dreaming big.
I ask will they ever see the light?
With all practical difficulties
That try to show me otherwise,
With barriers that crop up
One after another,
How will I ever make it?
Is there a way for me to fly?
It isn’t a lack of wings,
Or a lack of talent.
But how can you fly when
You are crushed by a thousand who can’t?
Is this how all those fliers felt?
Is this how they all began too?
Or worse? I wonder!
But they all flew,
Despite the choking pressure
To give up,
They flew.
So there must be a way,
To lift off despite the fears
And the fearful.
I hope there is any way.
