A poem and response to Fragmented

Photo by Patrick Fore on Unsplash.

I stand before the fallout,
All that remains,
Of a once whole heart,
Of what was once a brain.

The organs littered across the field,
Each one devoid of use,
Each the victims of what we call life,
I can offer no excuse.
