my innocence

seeing stars
feeling dark
fighting an accusation
running from proclamations
behind bars
left a mark
my half innocence
is brittleness
lost what was ours
gone in a spark
from having one
now i had none

diseased with hate
this is my fate
they were wrong
but it has been so long
since I saw my rose
since i had no woes
since i had love
since i was pure
since i had a cure
when i had my innocence.
