My Story of Giving

. . . very briefly!

How and what do I give?
. . . let me count the ways.

In this response to
a prompt on giving
on a daily basis . . .
this is what I have to say.

Just as I attempt to live
my life in a simple way
— so I give in a simple way.

Totally lacking money
in this retirement stage of
my formerly successful life

I give only what my life
allows me now to give . . .
(proudly and profusely) —

myself and my presence . . .
my God-given gifts . . .
love - light - joy
. . . and always a smile!

This is a response to the invitation from Francine Fallara for the Blue Insights December 2019 Cultural Prompt about giving and sharing of my humanity in my everyday life.
