The Night Sky

The relentless rain falls, fast.
Smashing the ground with immense purpose.
Like darts hitting their target, one after the other.

The wailing wind whistles, low.
Dancing through the trees with a soft push.
Like a ballerina performing on stage, plié after plié.

The moon light glistens, bright.
Illuminating the dark sky with a hue of yellow shine.
Like a paint brush swiping a canvas, stroke after stroke.

And as the night moves, fast. Breaths, low. And shines, bright.
I sit, watching from my window with a hot cup of coco…
Oh the succulent serenity of the night sky.
