The Other Side of Self-Doubt
We look for something external, greater
Second guessing our true nature
To our own life we become a stranger
Who’s disconnected from our self and neighbor
We look for something external, greater
Living in a constant state of self-proclaimed failure
Living life as a waiter
Believing your current life is safer
To one’s true self we are a traitor
But in our life we are the maker
Life’s about making a bet, a wager
On this new path life will get stranger
But don’t be afraid of action’s perceived danger
It’s better now than later
You are your only life’s player
So break out of your self-imposed chamber
It might take a little labor
To create your life like a canvas’s painter
Be your own rule breaker
Instead of a crowd-like faker
You’re going to have to be braver
To be your own trail blazer
To be a risk taker
With too much in life to savor
Refocus on you and stop being a hater
Live your dreams and never waiver
