The world in us
Little Poem from ‘In the Minuses’

I know, I hear, I see
the endless barren lands,
those empty blackened skies
and ever-present beasts that tear me.
Long have we walked too blindly
the empty halls in the monuments
of our endless, selfish needs.
I helped create this terrible world,
a reflection of our lesser selves
in our own lost and tearful eyes,
but together love can open hearts
to make a better world.
This poem is from the epic verse novel ‘In the Minuses’
by JD Pernoste & Anneliese Dahl:
