This is a mix of human stories inspired by various recent encounters. Much like life itself they span a variety of emotions. The first encounter is with a lovely man working at an ice cream counter, the second with a kind young hairdresser, and the third with a lost young homeless man. Captain Cold
stands at the ice cream counter
scooping out smiles and laughs
with his humor and his poetry
handed on a free surprise card
to each passerby
handmade bracelets and free donuts
also his domain
as he brings joy forth into the world
through creamy confections
and beautiful Love
Captain Cold proudly tells me
he’s a poet
his heart overflowing
with love and abundance
for all to read
for it is always there written
any secret message you could imagine
there directly
on the heart.
