Encircles the Doe’s Head

A crown of flowers,
Encircles the doe’s head,
Marble specks of white,
Adorn her regal coat,

She prances around the forest thicket,
With innocence and charm.
Her black eyelashes flutter in the wind,
Like pieces of dandelion fluff…
Broken into wisps.

Gripping their frames in desperation,
As they wave goodbye,

Feebly flapping against the wild wind
And finally defeated
Like broken flags.

It’s gonna be a long night
As Ian opens his hungry mouth,
Ready to feast on the lands below.
