Founded in 1993, the North Forty News is a monthly newspaper and daily hyperlocal website (at NorthFortyNews.com). The service covers interesting people, events, news, the outdoors, the arts, gardens & landscapes, historical topics and more. The North Forty News Coverage area includes all towns and cities North of Longmont to the Wyoming state line, West to the continental divide, and East to Greeley.

The North Forty News is under new ownership. The new owner (Blaine Howerton), is a Colorado Native and a Media Entrepreneur. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BA in Technical Journalism. He has two young boys along with his wife of more than 10 years (she is also a former journalist).

The North Forty News is growing and we encourage support from the community through subscriptions and advertising. The more support the North Forty News has from Northern Colorado, the more comprehensive our coverage will be.
