I’ve been Lightning Talks at UX JAM OUTBOUND.

The theme is D2C.

Design controls everything. What I learned from D2C in New York. I went to New York and saw the D2C brand. What is D2C? Why is it accepted in the world now? I wanted to know that.

This D2C brand is WARBY PAKER. It sell glasses and sunglasses. All planning, manufacturing, sales and customer support are done by WARBY PAKER. There are no distribution costs and promotion costs. So WARBY PAKER can offer it cheaply & reasonable.

WARBY PAKER’s design is Yasashii and Kawaii. Design taste and feeling, forms a brand. It’s not easy.

Also, A part of the sales will be paid for social contribution programs.

Website and Instagram also have the same TonMana*. Then, the apps is very nice. (*TonMana is JAPANESE English, it means torn & manners.)

Let’ see Youtube.

You, like it? I’m not working Warby Parker, but I want to join. This brand is Perfect! WARBY PAKER raised a total of three hundred million dollers.

I saw a lot of D2C besides WARBY PAKER.

Suitcase brand AWAY.

AWAY’s website & instagram. It’s cool.

Bedding brand Casper.

Casper’s website & instagram. It’s cute!

Shoes brand Allbirds.

Allbirds’ website & instagram. It feels so good!

We had a look at some D2C brands. Did you catch it?

What is D2C?

The following terms define D2C. Unique story, Brand Concept, Original product, Online to Offline, Sell on only own channel, Customers share a brand and gets the style.

But if you are a Designer, you should feel already. I think…

In D2C, Design controls everything(and design forms a brand), Vision, Mission, Strategy, Culture, Attitude, Intention, Websites, Apps, Shops, and Products, everything..

Design controls everything(and design forms a brand), This is very difficult, but I want to do. I am not enough. I’d like to expand the field of Design.

Thank you.

Thanks to the UX MILK for giving me the opportunity, and the editor-in-chief for fixing the title.
