Being a Board Infinity career coach is a humbling experience!

“ Knowledge and happiness increase by sharing. This is a well known and proven adage. Fortunately, I have been getting opportunities to experience it regularly by playing the role of a coach or mentor with Board Infinity. My role with BI is to try to help final year b-school students by sharing my experiences in tackling interviews and group discussions and providing suggestions to candidates to improve their CVs. We may not be the best mentors out there to help the students, but we are the ones putting our best foot forward to make an attempt towards it. And if we are able to contribute even a percent towards boosting the confidence of candidates and helping in their overall development, I would consider it a job well done, albeit with a long way to go still.

I have interacted with over a hundred students during my year-and-a-half long association with BI, and it has always proven to be a humbling experience. Be it the live coaching sessions during weekends or the virtual sessions over calls that we take up late at night during weekdays, there has been a lesson to learn from each of those. There is a different perspective you get to learn while interacting with these fresh minds. Plus these interactions expose us to a variety of businesses some of the candidates had interned with. I doubt I would have learnt about so many businesses so quickly from any other source. This is the best part of the sessions.

The humbling realization comes when you see such bright students from these so-called tier 2 b-schools. With a little bit of guidance and support, they can also achieve as much as students from higher ranked b-schools do. Board Infinity has been doing its part to help them achieve their dreams and shall continue to do so!”
