Moreover, you will also get to build a portfolio to showcase to your future employers. Go for a company which has scope for growth, or go for a small company where you will get to don multiple roles. This will increase your skill base.

Get a Degree

The next step is to supplement your existing knowledge with a formal degree. Once you have performed on the job, you will know where your interest lies.

Since you have developed your skills as per the specialisation of your choice, it is time you support it by doing a master’s degree in data science. Those who don’t want to give in to a long commitment, can always opt for various certifications that are available.

As per the Bureau of Labour and Statistics, employment growth of data scientists by 2028 will be 16%. Demand of data-scientist jobs are high, and experienced professionals are few in the market. Companies of each and every size are manifesting data into their processes. The demand of data scientist is skyrocketing.
