Bodhi Development Update: June 5, 2018
Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning into this Bodhi Dev Update for June 2018. Just wanted to give you a progress report of all things Bodhi.
We have completed our BOE airdrop to the participating exchanges. We hope your enjoy your new BOE! Now all that is out of the way, we are pushing forward again with our projects.
We have some exciting projects in the pipeline right now that we are expanding in addition our prediction market platform. Here are some things to look forward to in the coming months:
Qrypto: Light Wallet and Signing Client
Many of you Ethereum enthusiasts know, or have used, Metamask. It is a Google Chrome extension that has many uses, but primarily for a light wallet and to sign transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.
Qrypto will be an enhanced Metamask-like Chrome extension that will be exclusive for the Qtum blockchain. We are co-developing it with the Qtum team and we are extremely excited to bring this to you all.
Some features will include: importing existing Qtum wallets via seed phrase, creation of new wallets, a local permission system, fetch and display of QRC tokens, and much more to be announced later!
We felt that the Qtum ecosystem needed a more user-friendly and convenient way to handle transactions without having to sync the entire blockchain. This will be one of the first steps (among others) in helping the Qtum ecosystem to mature.
Bodhi Prediction Market Dapp Updates
We have just released the 0.7.8 version on our website and Github so go get it now! Some updates include tutorial slides at first launch, better error handling and display on the UI, and display of relevant pending transactions in the dashboard pages.
Some things we have in the coming versions include:
- The ability to change to Korean as well as the existing English and Chinese languages. We are becoming more global by the day!
- Adding some new UI skins in preparation of the World Cup! In the future, you will have the ability to be able to swap themes on the fly.
- An All Events section. We’ve heard your comments about not being able to see certain events that are in specific phases. We are adding a section where you will be able to see all events, past and present.
Dapp Light Client
As we have announced previously, we are in full development of transitioning our Bodhi Dapp to a light client. The biggest positive note for you all is that you will no longer have to sync the entire Qtum blockchain to use our Dapp. To iterate upon that, we will be creating tons of new features made possible by this transition.
Don’t worry though, our UI will be pretty much the same, but you will notice a much better user experience.
