Perspectives National Conference 2016
This past week we were in Timonium, MD for the Perspectives National Conference. What an amazing week we had working alongside the whole Perspectives network! It was so encouraging to hear the vision for the future of this ministry and to reflect on the past; praising God and thanking Him for multiplying our efforts and unifying people all over the country to work toward seeing Jesus movements within every unreached people group.
This week was specifically encouraging and affirming to us. We were able to meet people of the Perspectives network from all across the country: coordinators, instructors, authors, regional directors, etc. Each time when we would answer their question of how we are serving the ministry by sharing that Daniel is coming on as the IT director we were met with excited statements like, “I’ve been praying for you for so long!” Obviously these people didn’t know us personally and this was not a specific affirmation of us, but it was clear that God is meeting a great need within this ministry and He is choosing to use us to do so. Please don’t read that and think we are boasting, we are fully aware of our weaknesses and often feel ill-equipped to fill this role. However, Daniel and I have been praying for a long time asking God to use us and it is humbling and sobering to see that we are stepping out into a season in our lives in which He is answering that prayer.
