Since our last update:

It’s been a while since our last online update. We sent out a snail mail update along with a copy of Mission Frontiers magazine in February. We hope you enjoyed that as much as we loved sharing it with you! The beginning of the year seems like a lifetime ago since so much has has happened. We returned from our visit to the national office in mid-February and absolutely hit the ground running.

Daniel has accomplished so much in such a little time. His team has made great strides in laying the necessary foundation for the modernization and rebuilding of Perspectives’ online infrastructure.

Daniel also manages a team of programmers based in India which means he’s regularly having meetings late in the evening that can go till 2am! But despite the odd hours he’s thriving in this role and looking forward to the bigger more visible changes that will come over the next year.

Progress Made:

  • Reduced average webpage load time from 5 seconds per click to 0.8 seconds per click
  • Several incremental updates to modernize the look and feel of the website, improving usability and user experience
  • Migrated all servers to new ones, significantly improving capacity at reduced costs
  • Upgraded our tools and technology to improve speed and efficiency of software development
  • Policy and procedure updates that will pave the way for future development

BIG NEWS! IT’S A BOY!

Baby Boy Bodnar expected Thanksgiving 2018!

That’s right! We are expecting a sweet baby boy this Thanksgiving! We are on the moon with excitement. Selah asks nearly every day about the baby in mommy’s belly.

We are overjoyed waiting for our boy! We have set up a fundraiser to help cover our $7000 insurance deductible. Would you please pray with us for God to provide for this need? If you feel led to give in this way it would be a big blessing to us. Tax deductible donations can be made directly to our ministry account here or for simplicity sake we’ve set up a GoFundMe.

Prayers Needed!

Pregnancy: We have been blessed with a relatively easy pregnancy so far. We continue to pray for no complications leading up to and at birth. We’re praying for baby boy’s life / spiritual future as well as financial provision and our transition to family of four. Also we need to name this boy!

Growing IT Team: We are praying the Lord would lead skilled men and women to volunteer part or full time on the IT Team we are working to grow. The Lord said the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few, and it’s equally true in “behind the scenes” ministry roles such as this.

Upcoming Travel: We will soon be traveling to Waco to celebrate a good friend’s wedding. Shortly after that Daniel will fly to Orlando, FL for the annual Perspectives Leaders Conference.

The Road to Fully Funded

As 2017 came to a close we made the decision to go ahead and begin full time ministry despite not yet being at our full support goal. We believed God would provide and that it was time to move forward with what He was calling us to. We do not regret this and have been blown away by His faithful and generous provision every step of the way. However, it’s important that we continue seeking ministry partners as God leads in order to not deplete all our savings. We are at about 30% of our monthly support partnership goal and trusting God to provide through various other means. We are so thankful for the immense generosity and prayer support from our partners that has gotten us to this point!

It would mean the world to us if you would consider supporting our work in ministry with Perspectives!
