Say Goodbye to those Pesky Customer-Facing Workflow Data Silos

Sparky and Bigfoot hanging out

It all started with a LinkedIn post as do all great startup stories 🙂

Luckily their primary career isn’t modeling

We were immediately introduced to Steve and Chris through Joe Teplow, Founder of Rebel (acquired by Salesforce), a former boldstart portfolio company…from there the brain meld began!

Whenever we partner with a new company at boldstart, it always comes down to the people. Steve demoed a prototype of the product he had built himself at our first meeting. The prototype was not a polished UI or user experience, and yet Steve already had various users trying it out and being delighted by the workflows that would trigger in the background. We quickly realized Steve was a hands-on builder as VP Platform at Slack (which makes sense given he previously founded 2 companies sold to Salesforce and Boomi). Chris was the perfect first user of the product. Having run customer facing teams at Boomi as COO and at Dell Software as a GM, he lived the pain and had clear thoughts on where the product should go. From what was originally looking like a horizontal AI-powered note-taking app, Chris’ insights quickly shaped it into a GTM focused workspace. After spending multiple hours discussing the product over coffee, everything came back to one thing, building the knowledge graph to map relationships across all GTM workflows.

Today, we are thrilled to announce Boldstart’s partnership from inception with Noded AI, leading their $4M raise with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, 20Sales, and the co-founders of Slack & Okta. Noded is building the AI-driven GTM workspace empowering customer success & sales teams to have real-time insights across their various workflows just by simply taking notes. We are fired up to partner with exceptional founders like Chris Port and Steve Wood.

All knowledge workers have struggled with the challenge of siloed data stores. There’s context in Jira, Salesforce, Google Docs, Slack, and tons more products. While many integrations to these solutions exist, nothing yet has emerged to combine the knowledge in these products and make them easily accessible. It’s the holy grail of productivity many of us have been chasing our whole lives!

The Noded AI team discovered a few key insights. The first was that key building blocks of technology now had matured enough to bring about the vision. Graph database technology, data integrations, and LLMs & predictive models were ready to be combined. The second was that teams, especially now, care primarily about efficiency. How can teams do more with less? An AI-driven, GTM focused workspace could shorten coordination costs, ramp teams quickly on shared knowledge, and unlock faster renewal & sales cycles. Finally, the third key insight was that users don’t want to take on the burden of remembering where different information is stored. If you could solve this problem, user delight would quickly follow.

Just take notes and workflows get auto-magically triggered in the background

That brings us to today. Noded AI is building a powerful AI-driven workspace empowering GTM teams to have real-time insights all from simply taking notes. The product hides all the complexity in the background. All the user needs to do is click what integrations they want and start typing notes. Noded maps the data relationships and surfaces insights, triggers workflows, and automates actions all behind the scenes. Just type notes and be delighted. It truly is magic!

Noded has an aggressive product roadmap ahead pushing the limits of what some of the current AI models and graph databases can do. The team ships quickly and loves working as a lean team where various product experiments can be run to see if they delight users. If this sounds like an opportunity you’re interested in, please reach out and I’ll put you in touch.
