A note from BOLT Founder and CEO, Jamal Hassim, to our friends, advocates, and community.

Dear Boltians,

It gives me great pleasure to write this inaugural note to all of you.

The first half of 2019 has been tremendously challenging but also an exciting period for the BOLT Team.

We had the privilege of providing broadcast and highlights coverage for a number of major global sporting events - including the Cricket World Cup 2019, The Women’s World Cup in France and the Africa Cup of Nations Football competition.

The big “first” has been our coverage of the competitions over not just the BOLT+ web and applications but also via our social media channels daily. This has enhanced our multi-platform approach, allowing us to build traction for the BOLT+ social media following and engagement, app downloads and also the use of our web service , extending our reach beyond even our iOS and Android BOLT+ applications, which has already recorded a combined download counter of 200,000 installs.

This has been an unprecedented level of event coverage by any major media global organisation, let alone a young company like BOLT.

The second half of the year is going to continue to be an exciting one. This August, the English Premier League Football competition and the UEFA Champions League will officially kick off. In addition, thee 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan which will commence in September. We are going to bring more great coverage of these events for our viewers and community.

There are also more live TV channels that will be coming on stream — stayed tuned to our new additions, including some of our own BOLT Live channels!

In the meantime, we have been working closely with a number of YouTube producers to curate the best independent content for our viewers. There is also an exciting, game-changing elevation of our sports content to come in the later half of the year that will have BOLT+ in a very different light.

One of the big focus areas for the BOLT Team will be the increased application of the BOLT Token within the BOLT+ ecosystem in the drive to increase its utility and velocity. There will also be the impending release of the BOLT Wallet to follow shortly.

We thank you this far for your strong support for the BOLT project, and I look forward to writing to you with the next update soon.
