From record-breaking user numbers to new partnerships and product launches, it has been our biggest year yet. As we gear up for an even bigger 2023, we thought it would be fun for you to join us in reminiscing about the highlights of the past 12 months.

Bolt+ is Helping Content Creators to Connect, Earn and Build Communities

Over the past 12 months, we have significantly expanded the functionality of Bolt+ to go beyond watching your favourite live streams. Powerful new features have been added for you to create content in lots of different ways, including live streaming, sharing photos, videos, links and text.

What’s more important is that unlike other social platforms, anyone can immediately start earning from day one on Bolt+. There are no minimum community sizes or minimum amounts to earn before you cash-out.

One of the standout features that has arrived this year on Bolt+ is the low transaction fees. Other platforms take up to 50% of content creators’ earnings, but on Bolt+ creators keep 90%. This means they can earn more from their hard work, and build a community without having to worry about losing a significant portion of any earnings.

This is just the beginning. With the inclusion of these new features, Bolt+ has become a compelling platform that empowers anyone to create, connect and earn easily. With low transaction fees, Binance Pay integration, and a social media network to rival the biggest platforms out there, Bolt+ is quickly becoming the go-to platform for content creators looking to build a sustainable, feature-rich and profitable community.

Connecting the dots with Bolt+, BoltX and the Bolt Token

The Bolt ecosystem has really emerged this year, encompassing the Bolt+ social media platform, the BoltX self-custody digital asset wallet and the Bolt Token.

We have strengthened the core offerings of the entire Bolt ecosystem to elevate social media networking, content creation and online community into the exciting world of web3. Together, our products give ownership back to creators.

  • The Bolt+ social media platform empowers anyone and everyone to create great content and easily monetize it without compromising the integrity of the content. During the World Cup, we organised Football Frenzy, which enabled new users to discover how easy it was to share, connect, and build their own football-focused communities on Bolt+. By the time the World Cup ended, we welcomed an additional 60,000 followers on Twitter, and added another 5,000 new members to Bolt+.
  • With a user-friendly interface and advanced security features, BoltX makes it easy for users to take control of their digital assets, securely store and manage them in one convenient place. Similar to Bolt+, the priority in 2022 for BoltX was to continue growing awareness and improving its functionality as a wallet. In 2022, we did a significant upgrade in scalability and multiple blockchain protocol support for BoltX. We included WalletConnect to enable users to connect to popular blockchain applications (such as OpenSea and UniSwap) with their BoltX Wallet. We included support for MoonPay, which enables users to buy crypto with their credit card in BoltX. We also included support for multiple chains including Ethereum, Polygon, and Zilliqa.
  • The Bolt Token is a governance token that allows users to have a say in the direction of the Bolt ecosystem. Holders of the Bolt Token can vote on key decisions, such as new features and partnerships, and help shape the future of the Bolt ecosystem. We have continued to expand on how our holders can use the Bolt Token, including staking, organising trader-focused campaigns such as our trading competition on KuCoin, and a liquidity mining campaign on AscendEx.

Together, Bolt+, BoltX and the Bolt Token form a powerful triumvirate that empowers anyone to create, connect and earn. With the tools and framework they need to build a community and earn from their hard work, content creators can thrive in the exciting world of web3 without needing to understand its complexities, and finally take genuine ownership of their content.

Strengthening our Partnerships

In 2022, Bolt has strengthened partnerships with several leading companies, bringing even more value and benefits to our community of content creators.

First, we have partnered with the independent electronic music label Monstercat, which is now streaming its catalogue of music and artists on Bolt+. It has been a fantastic way for Bolt+ members to discover new artists from some of the biggest names in electronic music. On a personal note, it is perfect to put on in the background while you are working!

We have also integrated the Binance wallet directly into Bolt+, which allows people from across the world to earn, cash-out and send tips or gifts on Bolt+ even if they are unbanked. This partnership has opened up new earning opportunities for our entire community, and makes it even easier for them to connect and share their content with others.

Hisense, one of the world’s biggest electronics manufacturers, has been a strategic partner since 2019. As of 2022, the Bolt+ platform has been installed on over 10 million smart TVs and 1 million Hisense smartphones, bringing our platform to a unique, living room-based audience that no other platform has managed to access.

In 2022, we extended the partnership by linking up with the smart TV operating system, VIDAA, which is bringing the Bolt+ app and its advanced features to smart TVs from multiple manufacturers, including Toshiba, Panasonic, and Loewe TVs. This partnership allows even more people to discover and enjoy the benefits of Bolt+.

Additionally, we’ve integrated MoonPay with our BoltX wallet, so anyone can easily buy crypto using a credit card. This makes it even easier to get started with the digital assets that form the nucleus of the Bolt ecosystem.

Finally, the sports media company OneFootball has been streaming its content on Bolt+ from across 200 leagues in 12 different languages. This partnership brings a wealth of exciting sports content to Bolt+, and allows our community to discover and enjoy new sports from around the world.

We have grown our revenue, established partnerships with industry leaders, and expanded our user base to 4 million people worldwide. We have also continued to innovate and improve our Bolt+ platform, turning it into a full-featured social network that empowers a new generation of content creators.
