Dear BOLT community,

It gives us joy when we have synergy — when we get to team up with creators, users, and partners to drive meaningful work together. We share more about that, and how we involve ourselves in blockchain’s mass adoption below.

This week we’d also like to introduce you to more forces behind BOLT: Jean the head of our partnership development team, and our advisor Trevor, a leading Technology Executive at Sansa Advisors.

Last but not least, the announcement of our new partnership with Hisense. We’ll have six million TVs in South Africa with BOLT. Being bolted with Hisense is just the beginning of an exciting chapter.

We believe that BOLT can be a win-win for creators and users to mutually unlock value by participating equally in the ecosystem, whether it may be contributing a news highlight from Tanzania or subtitling a Korean music video into Bahasa Indonesia. What we know as “content” will grow to be more than just videos, and more than just entertainment.

⚡️ Bitsonic — Trading Update

We’re thrilled to announce that ahead of our global exchange listings this month, Bitsonic, the 4th largest exchange in Korea, with over $65M USD in volume, commenced trading BOLT on the 6th March at 3pm KST.

This listing allowed Bitsonic IEO participants to trade their BOLT tokens for the Bitsonic Token (BSC).

On its first day of trading we recorded a 6000% increase (60x) from BOLT’s original ICO price, the current price (11th March) is around US$2.90.

This BOLT/BSC trading pair is only available to Bitsonic Users, within the Bitsonic exchange, with no new deposits or withdrawals allowed.

All BOLT Tokens are still locked and the trading is only within Bitsonic.

We look forward to sharing more information on upcoming exchange listings outside of Korea this week.

⚡️BOLT x Hisense

We’re honoured to announce our partnership with Hisense, a major electronics manufacturer and proud sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, bringing the BOLT app to over 6 million devices in South Africa.

This will first be implemented in 150,000 mobile phones as a pilot for our first pre-install program, and scaling up to more devices through over-the-air updates. Recently, we also participated in Hisense’s global partners conference in Qingdao, China. Watch this space!

⚡️Invisible Blockchain — The key to mass adoption

A key indicator of blockchain’s mainstream adoption is in how it powers a user’s day — with no indication to them on the intricacies of the technology involved. After all, how many of us know the technology behind how photos are processed when a user uploads their photos to Instagram? Similarly, we want to ensure that the usage of BOLT Tokens within the BOLT ecosystem is simple, elegant, and fuss free. BOLT, the content powered wallet, will offer the user the content they want in exchange for “BOLT Credits”, which can be easily purchased from within the app.

⚡️Team Profile: Meet Jean

Jean leads our partnership development team at BOLT across technology, telcos, and value-added services. He double-majored in Competitive Intelligence, Geo-Strategy and International Relations. Jean now lives in London, after working three years for the French Ministry of Economy, and two years at the Embassy of France in Malaysia. He’s a passionate entrepreneur who launched his third business in business development consultancy last year, and has a passion for bringing information equality to the world’s underbanked.

Trevor is a partner at Sansa Advisorsand leads the deal process. As a leading Technology Executive, he holds experience from a range of roles including Chairman, Executive Chairman, President & CEO of organisations such as Amobee (sold to SingTel), JAJAH (sold to Telefonica Europe), VeriSign (sold to PayPal), Sansa Security, SansaArt, and NEXMO.
