Braised Beef Brisket In Semur Style (Indonesian)

“BEEF SEMUR/SEMUR DAGING

One Of the Popular Braised dishes in Indonesia, “Semur Daging/Ayam” is a Slow-cooking food that has a sweet, savory taste.

Basically, For this dish, we usually eat it with Steamed Jasmin Rice, but in this recipe, I put cubed potatoes and cooked together with the beef.

Beef brisket

So I bought 900 grams of beef brisket, seared, on every side.

So after I sear the beef, I put The beef into a pot that boiling water already inside, together with salam leaves, lemongrass, ginger, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, Crushed garlic, crushed peppercorns, sauteed sliced onion, shallot, Sweet soy sauce, A spoonful of oyster sauce, and season with salt.

cook it with medium heat for about 2 hours. or till the beef is tender. when the time reaches 1,5 hours put the cubed potatoes and cook them till the potatoes are done.

so, here is the result, after the beef is cooked. it’s tasty, tender, and fatty.
