America had left World War I on top of the world, then, for some reason, launched prohibition. That morality play served to give us the Roaring 20s with a bang. Tommy guns and gangsters, speakeasies and hollow-legged rum runners, all throwing an almost 24/7 devil-may-care party. A party that included the Charleston and what could be the symbol of the age, the Flappers.
