I’m a huge believer in the life-changing power of positive attitude. If you can see the good in the worst situation, you’ll naturally attract positive things and experiences into your life. On the contrary, focusing on the negative angle will make you accept a defeat without any effort.

Since you’re an avid Medium reader, you definitely want to fulfill your life with positivity. And with the actionable advice below, you can start right away.

Books that I discuss:

  • The Power of Positive Thinking
  • Think And Grow Rich
  • Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
  • Positivity
  • How To Be A Positive Leader

1. “The Power Of Positive Thinking”

The message behind this book is that they’re no problems that you cannot solve when you shift your perception and embrace a more positive attitude.

Try to always remind yourself to stay positive and calm. This will allow you to gain a broader perspective and make wise decisions. Focusing on the positive aspects will lead to a happier and healthier life. A good thing to do is to write reminds with positive affirmations that will help you stay on track during tough moments.

2. “Think And Grow Rich”

The main conclusion of this book is it’s very rarely that luck leads to wealth. Usually, it’s a combination of certain traits and skills that wealthy people have acquired through the years. The good thing about is, everyone can learn them.

But there’s also a part that discusses positivity. Napoleon Hill discovered that successful people are characterized by a strong faith in their abilities. They don’t let negative emotions make them think they’re not good enough. Because of that, they’re able to persist and finally reach their intentions. Through positive affirmations and suggestions, they can influence their behavior to work in their favor.

Finally, positive emotions are an inseparable part of a successful life and should be constantly cultivated.

3. “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff”

Richard Carlson’s point in his great book is that your thoughts will reflect your life. As a result, if you learn how to reign your thoughts, you can then master yourself. The small stuff shouldn’t be a reason for a huge effusion. When you keep it small, this will help you discover the real happiness and calmness.

You can find thousands of reasons why a certain person is annoying, yet you’ll always go against yourself by doing that. Instead, try to see things from other person’s perspective and don’t just hold tightly to your view. Treating others the way you’d like to be treated will not only brighten their day, but also make you experience real happiness.

4. “Positivity”

A great actionable advice from this book is to keep a gratitude diary. It can be a traditional notebook, spreadsheet (my personal choice) or whatever else suits your preferences. By writing down things you’re grateful for, you’re basically exercising your happiness muscle and the bigger it grows, with each sentence being a rep, the more happiness you’ll experience (as you can tell, I like to lift). There is no need to look for anything fancy to put in your notes. Just list the things that come first to your mind. Usually, it’s the simple things that make your life better.

Another advice from the author is meditation, which I regularly mention in my blog posts (get them to your inbox). If your mind produces negative thoughts, you’ll never be able to live a life full of positive energy. Fortunately, you can train your mind to work for you and the best way to do this is to meditate. Devote to it 5 minutes a day, whether first thing in the morning or right before going to bed and soon enough, you’ll experience more positivity in your life.

5. “How To Be A Positive Leader”

This book shows you how you can put your leadership skills on steroids by adding more positivity to the way you deal with people. When you neglect the emotions of employees, this will have a negative impact on the overall company's success. On the other hand, when you give people your full attention when they need it, you’ll lead them to feel more fulfilled and satisfied.

Although it’s not always easy in the world of distractions, being fully present in the moment, especially as a leader, will increase the productivity and happiness of people around you, whether they’re your employees, friends or family.

As I reflect on the ups and downs in my life, I always notice that the circumstances can switch massively only because I change my attitude. Oftentimes, you already know the key to a successful, happy and fulfilling life.

The only part that’s missing is the positive attitude that will help you attract your desired lifestyle which is what I cover in my new book.
