Back in the early days of mobile gaming, Hannibal Soares spotted the huge potential of Apple’s AppStore and its global distribution channel after purchasing his first iPhone in 2010.
Quitting International Brokerage for Gaming
At that time, Hannibal opted for a huge life change and quit a 10 year career in finance to go full time into game development. Hannibal put together a team and the first game came out before Christmas in 2011.
Euro 2012 Poland & Ukraine: Destiny Strikes!
Hannibal met Marcin Olejarz, his co-founder at BoomBit, and they teamed up for a mobile Football game before the Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine. It was a roaring success getting to the number #1 spot in over 80 countries. BoomBit was born.
Top 10 Driving Simulator Success!
To their surprise, BoomBit had enormous success developing car driving simulators, e.g. cars, trucks, lorries etc, and specialising in parking games. ‘Those games reached Top 10 in the USA almost every single time!’, said Hannibal.
Over 1.1 Billion Downloads
BoomBit’s ability to monitor gaming trends and innovate, led to over 200 games with over 1.1 billion downloads in 10 years. They produced games ‘from casual to Midcore and everything in between’ while massively scaling their business.
Global Success & Hits Galore!
BoomBit is now one of the largest and fastest growing mobile game developers in the world today; 2021 alone saw 238 million downloads.
Some of their greatest successes include “Hunt Royale”, “Archery Club”, “Build A Bridge” (Google Play Most Innovative Game of 2017) and “Car Driving School Simulator”. BoomBit not only produces games for iOS and Android but also for the Nintendo Switch.
