Greetings ye merry Hunters from the Bard of BoomLand! Today we speak of NFTs, the talk of the town in virtual worlds. In ‘Hunters On-Chain’, there are a myriad of NFTs, so let’s explore what they do.
What is an NFT exactly?
Before you go bashing fierce beasts in the Hunters Universe, you need to know the basics. An NFT stands for Non Fungible Token and NFTs are unique pieces of digital art which could represent a Hunter, Item, Arena or anything similar that is tradable and owned just by you. They are transferable between players and you can buy, sell, borrow or lend NFTs.
How are NFTs changing the Gaming Industry?
Put down your weapons and heed these words! NFTs are at the heart of blockchain gaming. Unlike Web 2.0 games, players own the NFT characters and items. It gives you greater financial security because if you want to play another BoomLand game, you can still sell your NFTs to other players via the Marketplace. Indeed for some select NFTs you will be able to use them in other BoomLand games. All this means that NFTs can hold their value better — so say the Sages of Web 3.0 gaming!
The Evolution of NFTS
Once upon a time, the NFT story began and their role was only to give proof of ownership, enforce digital asset scarcity and also royalties for digital asset sales. But then my intrepid Hunters, things changed and NFTs gave ownership to players in the virtual worlds, were tradable in-game assets and also bestowed unique identities. The NFTs in Hunters On-Chain and Play and Earn

Each Hunter character is a unique and playable NFT. With 40 different character classes including Lifestealer, Sniper, Wizard, Engineer and 75 billion unique combinations you are being spoiled for choice. If that doesn’t make you happy, then quite frankly you should take up knitting!
How do you get NFT Characters?
Well, get your posterior down to BoomLand of course! By minting on our platform as well as renting or buying in the Marketplace, purchasing certain chests called Hunt Boxes (with NFTs and $BGEM inside) or by Summoning you can get NFTs till the cows come home.
Gameplay Modes and Earning NFTs
Mighty Hunters, you can send your Hunter NFTs on quests in the 6 gameplay modes: Hunt, Boss Hunt, Co-op, Duel, Bounty Hunter and Dungeons. In the Boss Hunt, if you rank highly you may even earn special Item NFTs. However, in the most dangerous mode ‘Dungeons’ lie the best rewards, will you dare to enter?
Summoning Hunters
Oh yes, the magic art of Summoning is where you take 5 particular NFT Items plus $BOOM tokens to manifest a new Hunter. The rarity of the Summoned Hunter depends on the items you used. You can buy your Item NFTs in the Marketplace or in Hunt Boxes. Get summoning my Hunters!
Types of NFT Items
Now for a bit of NFT housekeeping to explain Items…
Hunter Shards
Shards are only used for upgrading your Hunters and get ‘burned’ (removed) from the NFT supply in the game in the process. Hunter Shards have two types of attributes, Hunter Type and Rarity, which determine the level of the upgrade.
Equipment
Equipment NFTs have only one use: summoning new Hunters. Like Hunter Shards, they are burned after use and the rarity impacts the success rate i.e. for each rarity level tier, the success rate rises from 40% up to 80% maximum.
Artifacts
These NFT items are burned when used on a Hunter and they bestow permanent perks on the character. After Level 5 and Level 10 Hunters have empty perk slots which can be filled by using your Artifact NFTs.
Item Attributes
They come in 5 qualities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Higher quality Items have more chance of summoning the desired Hunter.
Well my Hunters, if you haven’t fallen asleep by now, congratulations for making it to the end! Also, more importantly, the sentimental value of NFTs adds monetary value to them because you are crafting a unique Hunter identity. As you upgrade your Hunter, they will gain better attributes and with high level NFT Hunters you can sell or lend them out and make a tonne of coinage! Yippee! Get in there!
