This week, I’ve officially announced the launch of a brand new media channel, We Are Boost Media, a platform to help start-up and small businesses get their name out there, spread the word of medical breakthroughs and assist not for profits get their causes noticed.

However, we must get back to the primary purpose of this blog, e-commerce, growth and success.

How can you tell if your e-commerce store is starting to show signs of success, well here are 29 signs.

  1. People know of your brand, have seen it and heard of you.
  2. Traffic is increasing month on month.
  3. Sales are going up each month.
  4. The store is making money with little or no effort from you
  5. The bottom line is increasing, net profit is up.
  6. Your store is being talked about online.
  7. You’re getting good reviews on TrustPilot, Feefo and social media.
  8. Your website is on Google Page 1, rank 1 for keywords crucial to your strategy.
  9. Customer feedback, both positive and negative is being responded to.
  10. The design and flow of the e-commerce store is geared towards the sale.
  11. Your online has all the prerequisites of a secure trustworthy store i.e. SSL, name and address, telephone number and customer service tools.
  12. Customers are able to find the products they want and move on.
  13. You have good relationships with logistic providers.
  14. Your products are arriving in good time and good condition.
  15. You’re regularly complimented on your customer service.
  16. Bloggers and industry websites are talking about your website resulting in organic link generation.
  17. Customers are returning for more products, repeat business.
  18. The bounce rate on your online store is low.
  19. Your advertising spend is low, most of your business is word of mouth or direct traffic.
  20. You’ve opened up international stores away from your main flagship website.
  21. People are signing up to your newsletters on a weekly basis — they want to hear from you.
  22. Your CPA (Cost per Acquisition) has dropped.
  23. Customers are increasing their order value.
  24. Cart abandonment is low.
  25. You have a group of brand advocates who both fight your corner and can’t wait to see what you do next.
  26. You have people working for you, meaning your business has grown
  27. You know your best sellers and have removed the lines that no longer work.
  28. When people choose to order from your online store rather than your competitors
  29. You can sleep a lot easier at night.

If you’ve noticed any one of these signs during the running of your online store then you’re on the path to success.
