Marketing is one of the largest expenses you will have for your business next to rents and wages.

Marketing, especially when done wrong, can prove exceptionally costly. Failed marketing messages, failed marketing campaigns can result in missed sales opportunities.

The saying goes there is no such thing as bad publicity.

However you can cut some of those marketing costs right down by using a variety of tools available online.

Canva

Canva is an online image editing and creation tool. It’s free to sign up and gives you access to hundreds of stock imagery and also enables you to create logos, illustrations, brochures and more.

Animoto

Think of Animoto as the Canva of the video editing world. Another free tool which allows you to create and edit videos on the fly.

The system works where by you can upload a pre-recorded video and set a variety of tiles, covers and other animations.

Thinking of using video on your website or e-commerce store then this is another great little tool for you.

Mailchimp

E-mail marketing is far from dead. Every day millions if not billions of emails are sent to customers and prospects. Mailchimp is a free e-mail marketing tool that allows you to send up to 2,000 emails every month.

If you don’t have an e-mail marketing list you can start building one by creating landing pages, e-mail marketing sign up forms and even integrating Mailchimp into your social media pages like Facebook.

Bitly

URL Shorteners have become common place online. Bit.ly is probably one of the most popular.

The purpose of a URL Shortener is to shorten a long website address so that it becomes a little more easy to remember and also makes it easier for you publish them on social networks with a character limit.

Bit.ly works where by you paste that long web address into the website and it provides you with a shortened Bit.ly branded web address.
