Managing an event is hard work. Setting the date, place and time aside, it all boils down to getting people to buy tickets and show up.

In our experience with Boostable, we’ve advertised for a many event types. From concerts to seminars to parties, you name it, we’ve probably seen it.

Regardless of what event it is, the most common question we’ve gotten is:

How do I improve my ticket sales/conversions? How do I get the clicks from my ads to actually buy tickets?”

So we’ve did our research and began looking into what made some events successful, and some not. And from the plethora of event types we’ve seen, here are a few tips we feel apply across the board:

Event Description

An event description is the cornerstone of every event page. If someone clicks into your page, they are interested and looking for more information. The trick to keep them interested is to have a compelling description to hook them and eventually get enough information they need to reel them in.

Make your description introduction short and sweet so they have enough information to get an idea of what the event is about and if it is for them.

Basically, your event description should be a justification of why they should attend your event, and it should tell them why and if it is worth their time and money.

Event Image

As this usually is the image that goes onto your ads, it’s always a good idea to create an image exclusive to your event. A unique picture gives your visitors a visual memory of what you have to offer and makes a lasting impression.

Preferably, with interest piqued, they will remember your event for what it offers and eventually convert into ticket sales.

Catchy Subject Line

Subject lines, be it the first descriptor on your event page or the headline in your ads, inspire a feeling in the page visitor and naturally lead to higher open rates.

Here at Boostable we run multiple ads with varying headlines to see which ones work better and have higher click rates, learning as we go about what makes a good subject line. What we know, however, is that it makes a world of a difference.

Here’s what Boostable is here for. We want to use our expertise and advertising experience to give you all the help needed to boost ticket sales.

Start selling your tickets more effectively, with Boostable.
