  • Introduce PDF exporting
  • Renew editor UI

Boost Note for Teams(AKA Boost Hub) integration

We’ve integrated our collaborative authoring service, Boost Note for Teams, into Boost Note.next desktop app! You can edit your markdown notes with your team in realtime, just like Google Docs.

  • Real-time co-authoring
  • Document revisions
  • Bi-directional document linking
  • Advanced markdown features(Plant UML, Mermaid and LaTeX)
  • Public URL generation to share documents in Boost Note for Teams to guests
  • Zapier integration(2000+ integrations)

To know more, please check the below link.

For now, the team features are provided via web view but they will be directly integrated into the app. (The frontend part of the team app will become open-sourced too)

For those who are worried, this doesn’t mean we are going to commercialize the whole app.

  • The app won’t force you to sign up for the team app
  • The current features, including the file-system based storage, will continue to be maintained along with the team features. (Most features in the team app will be available for the file-system based storage too.)

PDF Exporting

You can export a note as a PDF file. Code blocks, Math equations, and other extra features can be exported too!

Renewed Editor UI

Editor UI has been improved a bit more.

Moved Title Input

We moved the title input to the top bar since most users don’t touch title input that much.

Introduced Bottom bar

Now you can see the current cursor position in the editor.

You can configure the editor without opening the preferences modal.

What’s next?

The app updating behavior will be improved. For now, you have to download the whole package for the next version and restart the app for every update. From the next version, the app won’t request restarting the app for every update. Also, the app update will be faster and more manageable.

More features will be introduced in the next development report by Flexo.
