With the last release, we introduced i18n and Slack integration which many of you had given us feedback about!

Besides these new features, we are also introducing some significant improvements around performance & comments, and a couple of smaller improvements!

We are so excited to hear your feedback about all these updates! 🔥

TL;DR

1. Android and iOS apps
2. i18n 🌎
3. Viewer Role
4. Slack Integration
5. Mention and Notification
6. Speed Improvements

1. Android and iOS apps

We’ve been doing final testing for the mobile apps! Over the past several months we received tons of request for it. We can not wait for the launch!!

We are planning to launch iOS and Android apps around mid-July. Stay tuned!

2. i18n 🌎

Around 40% of Boost Note users are from non-English countries.

In order to prioritize development speed, we’ve only supported the English so far, but we are now working on supporting other languages because we’ve been receiving language requests every day.

We completed support for French and Japanese so far, but we need your help!

Please fork our repository and contribute your language. Many Boost Note users in your country are waiting for your pull request :)

3. Viewer role

Viewer role has been launched for team users!

This allows you to invite members with a restricted role, called Viewer, to your space for free.

Many users have been using Boost Note as a knowledge sharing tool with their dev team lately. Start collaborating with your colleagues easily by using Viewer role!

Please see the permissions for each role here.

4. Slack Integration

Now, you can preview Boost Note doc inside the slack via copy&paste url!
It allows your teammates to see the documents without opening Boost Note.

Enable Slack integration from settings and get started!

5. Mention and notification

We’ve also launched the Mention and Notification for team users.
You can mention your teammates with @ in the comment form to send a notification from the side navigation.

Let’s use Mentions and eliminate missing important information!

6. Speed improvements

We’ve fixed the following two speed issues.

(1) Loading speed of the side navigation
Resolved the problem of slow loading speed as the capacity in Space increases. It’s about 5x faster.

(2) Input speed when markdown editing
Resolved an issue where the input speed when editing markdown would slow down as the amount of space in the space increased.
This issue has been completely resolved, and you can now comfortably write markdown.

We care deeply about performance improvements and continue to work on it. If you notice any issues, don’t hesitate to reply to this email or post on the Forum.

Thank you for reading!

We are planning to make various improvements and add new features in July. If you have any feedback, don’t hesitate to join our community and share it with us!

Our community always welcomes you.

Migrate documents now

Boost Note supports importing documents from other note-taking services such as Notion, Confluence, Evernote, Dropbox Paper, Quip, etc., and file formats for Markdown, Text, and HTML.

Our mission is to “boost developer’s productivity and creativity” and we are passionate about developing a №1 tool for developers.

There are great note apps and wiki tools out there, but they not always developer-friendly. If you believe in the potential of Boost Note, please switch over today with the migration feature from other tools.
