Introduction:

As a student in UX/UI Design passionate about fitness and technology, I embarked on the journey off trying to enhance the Nike Running App. In this case study, I’ll delve into the process of redesigning the app and introducing a new Events feature, aimed at fostering community engagement and elevating the overall user experience.

Understanding the Challenge:

The Nike Running App has long been a trusted companion for runners worldwide, offering tracking capabilities and personalized coaching. However, with the growing demand for social interaction and community engagement in fitness apps, there was an opportunity to enhance the app’s functionality and appeal.

Research and Discovery:

To kickstart the redesign process, I conducted research within the app for a feel of their UX/UI design and studied other events apps has inspiration. Upon this I designed a Mood Board to cement the idea I was projecting.

Designing the Solution:

Drawing on the insights gathered from research, I conceptualized the addition of an Events feature to the Nike Running App. This feature would enable users to discover, register for, and participate in various running events, ranging from virtual races to local meetups.

Hi-Fi’s & Prototyping:

With a clear vision in mind, I proceeded to create Hi-Fi’s and prototypes to visualize the layout and functionality of the Events feature within the app. Iterative testing and feedback loops were instrumental in refining the design and ensuring a seamless user experience.

Testing & Results:

Upon finalizing the design, I collaborated closely with other UX/UI students to test the implements of the design. Rigorous testing and feedback was conducted to identify and address any bugs or usability issues, ensuring a future smooth user experience.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the redesign of the Nike Running App and the addition of the Events feature was a rewarding experience to learn the power and importance of user-centric design . As a UX/UI student, I’m proud to have played a role in practicing the revitalizing of the app and potencially empowering runners to connect, compete, and conquer their fitness goals together in the future ahead.
