According to Ray Dalio, founder of the world’s largest hedge fund Bridgewater Associates and author of the book Principles, everybody has three distinct stages of life: learning, as a child, teenager, and young adult, working, through the majority of your life, and then finally teaching, as you near the end of your life.

At Bootkik, we respectfully, fundamentally, disagree.

More and more, in the age of the internet, those three stages are blending into one: one individual, assuming three different roles at any one point in time — student, worker, teacher. Rapidly learning on-the-go as they rise to whatever challenge they face that day in their work, while passing along their expertise to those in their communities and spheres of influence.

It’s this philosophy that drives Bootkik’s product vision.

In order to not just inspire, but equip people to learn and take action in the same breath, expertise needs to be available wherever, whenever — so anyone can access it when they need it most — regardless of what stage of life they’re in.

This means that, minutes before a sales call, or backstage before a big presentation, someone should be able to rely on the guidance of those that have been there before them. Then, on the elevator ride down, that same person should be able to share their step-by-step guide to nailing a sales pitch, or exactly how they won over their audience.

Putting Guidance in Everyone’s Hands — Literally

The Bootkik Product team is hard at work making it easier than ever to create and access step-by-step guidance, wherever you are. Next month, we will be launching Bootkik on iOS and Android, with a specific focus on activating learners (more on that in February’s update!)

Unsurprisingly, we believe that mobile is the future for Bootkik. Not only does this allow for ‘just-in-time’ training or access to processes, but it also massively expands our impact to a global, mobile-first audience. We can’t wait.

As a result, we will keep this product update short and sweet. We are continuing to concurrently make minor improvements to the desktop, so if it’s been a few weeks — pop back in, we’ve come a long way!

As always, if you have any questions or comments — please e-mail me directly and I’d love to hear your thoughts: travis@bootkik.com

See you next month on the App and Google Play stores!
