WAY2BIT, Barunson and Gala Lab have signed a contract to develop a blockchain-based metaverse service.
Metaverse is a compound word of meta (virtual) and universe (real world). that means a three-dimensional virtual world. In Metaverse, users can create their own avatars to communicate, enjoy cultural life, and trade items.
WAY2BIT is in charge of developing blockchain NFT technology and technical support that can be used within this metaverse service.
Barunson develops and implements a virtual world that is the background of the metaverse service and operates infrastructure related to it. And the company build an economic system in which BORA tokens can be used as a currency within the metaverse. Barunson previously participated in the production of a virtual world in the VR blockchain metaverse platform ‘Decentraland’.
Gala Lab is in charge of creating and operating various contents that users can enjoy within the metaverse based on the IP of the MMORPGs ‘Flyff’ and ‘Rappelz’ currently in global service. Gala Lab’s flagship game ‘Flyff’ is currently serving globally in 16 countries and ‘Rappelz’ in 10 countries. The two are popular games with approximately 100 mn global cumulative members.
