We would like to formally introduce our latest educational partner RS Edu Consulting in our second relay interview session, followed by our first one with InfoSeed.
RS Edu Consulting is a research-oriented company that combines education psychology with ICT technology. It is a professional firm that endeavors to realize holistic lifelong management of personalized career education through the modernization of education services using psychological diagnostic tools. Song Young-sun(Andrew Song), a founding representative from RS Edu Consulting, was able to answer some questions about the company.
Q. Can you tell us about yourself?
A. My name is Song Young-sun(Andrew Song), and I am a founding representative of RS Edu Consulting. I have been interested in education since I was a student. I studied counseling psychology at Yonsei University School of Psychology and Korea University Graduate School of Education. Since then, I have worked at Samsung Electronics, Deloitte Consulting, and other educational companies such as VitaEdu, Korea Institute of Education Career Aptitude Research Institute, and was in charge of the development of psychological diagnostic tools and research and development of career counseling solutions. Currently, I oversee the business as a representative of RS Edu Consulting.
Q. What kind of company is RS Edu Consulting?
A. RS Edu Consulting is a company established to create standard solutions for career professionals such as ERP by applying educational psychology to educational services. RS Edu Consulting conducts research that utilizes intellectual property rights such as copyrights using solutions that combine premium content and IT technology. Based on this, we are in charge of development and maintenance of psychological testing at the Seoul Education Research & information Institute which provides free material for career advancement and aptitude testing for 1,300 schools through the Seoul government. Also, I participated in projects such as image mentoring, and have written career and occupational textbooks for the Korea Vocational Training Center.
Q. You already seem to have a lot of contacts in the education field. What was the motivation behind establishing RS Edu Consulting?
A. As with most students, I had been working hard to solve my career problems since my school days. I was interested in education because I majored in psychology education at university. Since then, I started RS Edu Consulting to develop solutions such as ERP for education by applying the insights gained from experience as a management consultant and education-related companies to actual services.
Q. Please give a brief explanation of the services offered by RS Edu Consulting.
A. Educational solution AI Career Zone, which uses the psychological diagnostic tools of RS Edu Consulting, is a personalized education solution that standardizes vast amounts of data and analyzes and manages the psychological components of individual aptitude, personality, and learning by applying AI.
Q. It is impressive that your service analyzes big data. What capabilities are there in particular?
A. First, there is a psychological examination and counseling service. It is a comprehensive counseling service that provides analysis on individual aptitudes, personalities, learning types, and more to determine the best education courses and create customized education plans according to the psychological characteristics and tendency of students. There are also one-on-one consulting services for parents who want to prepare comprehensive psychological diagnosis solutions for elementary, middle, and high schools and provide recommendations based on career aptitudes. In addition to providing services for students, we also provide courses for career coaching professionals. We offer career counselor qualification courses (registration for volunteers in 2013–1058), which is a qualification course issued by the Association for Career Counseling.
To overcome the problems of myopic and short-term education focused on the current entrance examination, we are committed to LMS (Lifelong Management Service) based on a lifetime of integrated education management, which regards the individual’s life as an ongoing process of achieving their personal goals.
Q. What are the differentiating features of RS Edu Consulting?
A. If we describe our most distinguished features of our services:
1) We offer a package that measures the four diagnostic areas (aptitude, personality, learning, and parents) as part of the educational psychology diagnosis.

Q. What sort of collaboration do you have with BORA to take advantage of blockchain technology?
A. By applying the BORA platform and token economy system, we intend to expand the educational services of RS Edu Consulting to a blockchain ecosystem. Applying blockchain technology ensures information transparency so that users can trust our services. Furthermore, we plan to use the BORA token as a reward for parents and students by introducing a token economy system. Users of different services on the BORA platform can also access RS Edu Consulting services very easily.
Through the collaboration with BORA, we expect to improve the quality of our services, enhance user compensation using BORA tokens, and expand the RS Edu Consulting user base.
Q. Finally, please tell us about your plans and goals.
A. RS Edu Consulting has grown rapidly since its establishment and has sparked the interest of many people. Currently, we are committed to research and development of our services to encourage the growth of our business. Based on these efforts, we plan to work with approximately 5,000 institutions in the short term to expand the RS Edu Consulting user base to over 1 million in 2019.
In the long term, we aim to solve the contradictions of domestic education, which affect both students and parents negatively, through the establishment of educational, psychology-based scientific methodologies. Through the process of transitioning from study-oriented education evaluated by grades, to career education which examines individual aptitudes and talents, our children who constantly being compared to one another other will be able to live in a world where they can plan and have a healthy future.
