Blockchain digital content platform BORA’s BETA 2 version has been released!
This BETA 2 is the final stage of preparation before the official launch of the BORA platform and is linked to Ethereum’s Testnet ‘Ropsten’ to provide an optimized environment for testing the functionality and performance of blockchain-based services. In addition to updating BORA LAGOON, which was introduced in BETA 1, we’ve also added features including the BORA ATOLL and the game Dapp demo for hands-on blockchain service experience. Let’s take a look.
Test space for everyone ‘BORA LAGOON’ update
Launched in October 2018, BORA LAGOON is an open testnet of BORA where anyone can freely upload and experience blockchain services. BORA LAGOON is similar to BORA ISLAND, and is scheduled to be officially released in Q3. In here, developers can experience a variety of pilot services such as testing APIs provided by BORA and applying them to the project. Users can play, experience, and participate in product enhancements for projects registered with BORA LAGOON.

1. Changed BORA token from self-developed environment to Ropsten test net

1. RNG (Random Number Generation) Verification added
As with BORA LAGOON’s key features in BETA 2, the core of this update is the various services that have been added in conjunction with Ropsten to create a pilot service environment similar to BORA ISLAND.
In particular, the method of obtaining the BORA Token for testing the BORA LAGOON service has changed. Unlike the traditional method of providing unlimited access to users, you can only obtain 10 BORA Token per account when you create an account. The BORA Token can also be transferred directly to MyEtherWallet in Ethereum.
In addition, RNG (Random Number Generator) API, is newly added, which is mainly used in gaming areas such as adjusting the dropping probability of items. This function is available through the sample program, Dice Roller, and any block information that occurs during the play is available through the BORA EXPLORER. We’ve also improved BORA membership to enhance security.
Furthermore, in terms of hands on experience with blockchain gaming Dapp, BORA’s official partner firm UNIT5’s ‘Push Sushi’ has been released as a demo. Players can obtain BORA Shell through gameplays, and they can purchase items with the currency or swap them for BORA Tokens, thus gaining experiences in terms of token economy. Push Sushi will be officially serviced on the BORA platform in the future, along with the popular flagship game Cubic Adventure. As it’s easy and fun for ordinary users, let’s take a closer look.
BETA 2 version of BORA LAGOON is linked to the Ethereum testnet (Ropsten), which is identical to the environment of the Ethereum Mainnet. Therefore, the BORA Token, BORA Shell provided in BORA LAGOON, is only available in a test environment and is not compatible with the tokens on the Ethereum mainnet. Please be careful NOT to send the mainnet’s BORA Token and BORA shell to the token wallet address on the test net.
Space for BORA Partners: ‘BORA ATOLL’ now open
The newly opened BORA ATOLL in March 2019 provides the information, management tools, data and metrics needed to operate project services for developers partnering with the BORA. Partners can quickly and easily adapt to blockchain environments by applying APIs supported by BORA ATOLL to projects. Customized services through various interlocking models will maximize partner developers’ convenience, from simple token connections to smart contact-based services, by minimizing blockchain entry barriers.

1. Organization / Project
- Provides summary information for each project, as well as partner (organization), member management, and settings option
2. Token Manager
- Manage BORA tokens and Shell wallets issued for each project and provide billing and transaction history
3. APP Manager
- Provides, analyzes, and manages various indicator data and user data for each project
- Providing BORA Chain with APIs for Project synchronization and Performance Expansion with Convenience Options
Partners can use administrator functions that enable systematic membership management by identifying revenue and expenditure details and allocating authority for each project. Also, using the development tool provided by BORA ATOLL, Dapp service operation can be set up easily, such as opening a dedicated wallet.
Through partner feedback, BORA will continuously improve on the BORA ATOLL’s components and provide a variety of features and services. Future official version (v1.0) will update the operational and data statistical capabilities of the project and the product APIs.
Currently, BORA is developing smoothly in line with the roadmap it unveiled in the early stages of the project, and with feedback from users of BETA 2 version, we will focus on increasing the level of service completion prior to its official launch.
