As previously announced twice, on November 1, 2021, the Mainnet of BORA will be transferred to Klaytn from Ethereum, and the BORA token (ERC-20) will be swapped with a new BORA token (KCT, Klaytn Compatible Token). (please refer to our previous announcement: https://medium.com/boraecosystem/mainnet-migration-and-token-swap-guideline-9a902f5a030d)
In this regards, we provide additional guideline for BORA Token Holders outside Korea.
Q. How do non-Korean users need to deal with?
A. If you can’t create BORA wallet on Klaytn mainnet-supported exchanges (Upbit, Bithumb, or Coinone), please deposit your BORA token into the Wallet on BORA ecosystem (https://www.boraecosystem.com) before October 28th 24:00 UTC+0 and donot withdraw it at least till November 1st, 2021. BORA tokens deposited in the BORA ecosystem (https://www.boraecosystem.com) will also be automatically swapped into new BORA tokens (KCT, Klaytn Compatible Token) like as BORA tokens deposited in Klaytn mainnet-supported exchanges.
Q. Does Upbit global support migration?
A. It has not been decided whether Upbit Global will support mainnet migration. We recommend you using the BORA ecosystem (https://www.boraecosystem.com).
※ Caution
- The swap ratio is 1:1 and there is no change in the number of tokens held.
- BORA tokens must be deposited into the BORA wallet on the exchange that supports the Klaytn mainnet or into the BORA wallet on BORA ecosystem (https://www.boraecosystem.com) before the abovementioned deadline (October 28th 24:00 UTC+0) for the safe token swap.
- After the token swap, only Klaytn-based BORA tokens (KCT) can be traded on the exchange.
- Please be careful not to transfer the BORA token (KCT) to the Ethereum (ERC-20) wallet after the token swap.
