WAY2BIT was finally selected as the “2021 Blockchain Special Zone Linkage Project,” hosted by the Korea Internet & Security Agency, which participated as a consortium with Barunson, a cultural content company.
In this government project, WAY2BIT and Barunson is going to develop blockchain-based next generation media content platform for film industry with ‘P2P online streaming’ and ‘investment management’ as core services.
Through the ‘Blockchain-based P2P online streaming’ service, you can introduce and enjoy not only commercial movies, but also films containing genre diversity. With the ‘investment management’ service using the blockchain, it will be possible to transparently proceed with fundraising and use of investment funds for film production.
With this project, it is expected to contribute to the expansion of the Free Regulatory Zone business by linking with DID, which was developed as a Blockchain Free Regulatory Zone project in Busan.
WAY2BIT develops the entire platform and monitoring tools using the experience of developing the blockchain digital content platform ‘BORA’ and the current blockchain patent technology.
Barunson takes a part of service area development and operation based on know-how in movie production and its own development technology such as P2P network and upscaling through deep learning. Barunson have presented a solution that provides 4K or higher quality video at the VR cinema event in the Busan International Film Festival.
